Developing Saemangeum Port to establish a hub in the Pan-Yellow Sea region so as to support the activities underpinning trade with China and Southeast Asia.

Developing directions
- Expansion of port infrastructure around the docks and outlying areas, to facilitate the development of Saemangeum Project in agro-bio sites, industrial complexes, and the other sites
- Construction of roads and railways to improve access to the Port of Saemangeum Providing dock facilities and access routes to accommodate vessels of 50,000+ tons to be docked at Gunsan Port
- For tourism in Saemangeum and Jeollabukdo Province, Gogunsan Islands, cruise docks as well as cruise terminal facilities will be equipped
Development scale
- Building 6 berths of 3,037,000㎡ by 2030 (2 berths by 2025)
- Building 3 berths of 4,515,000㎡ by 2040
