Saemangeum Manufacturing & Export Model (using FTA)
This is a model in which products manufactured in the Saemangeum area with a global network are exported to other products. Currently, the USA and China without an FTA are faced with huge risks due to retaliatory tariffs stemming from trade disputes. Manufacturers based in the Saemangeum area can take advantage of the FTAs between Korea and each of the two countries and ship their products overseas without the tariff burden.

Reverse Export Model
This is a model that exports finished products to one's own country or other countries with great reliability as goods "Made in Korea" with world-class manufacturing, processing, storage, testing and certification capabilities. The reverse export business model by Southeast Asian manufacturers from Thailand or Vietnam, for instance, is highly likely to succeed due to the high preference, reliability, and customer satisfaction associated with goods made in Korea.

Mutual authentication model
This is a model to ease the certification process during import and export by establishing an organization that shares certifications between countries. Given high costs associated with overseas tests/certification, the significance of local tests/certification institutions having such overseas connection is likely to grow over time.
